Spring is the season when our weather is the most unpredictable. Spring weather can be downright dangerous, even deadly. Rain and warm temperatures cause flooding and fog. Changing temperatures can result in strong storms bringing lightning, high winds, hail, and tornadoes. In 2024 Ohio experienced a record breaking 74 confirmed tornadoes. Two of those were in Portage county.
