Portage County voters pass most levies, choose among crowded fields

About a quarter of registered voters in Portage County — 26,525 individuals — cast ballots in the Nov. 4 election. Here’s a look at some of the candidate races and issues that were decided this Election Day.

Brimfield voters selected Kevin Scott (1,178 votes) and Nicholas Coia (1,120 votes) for township trustees out of the seven candidates on the ballot. Jasmine Golden will serve as the township’s fiscal officer, winning the election against Blake Johnson 1,390 to 678.
