Portage County obituaries for Aug. 18-19

E. Pearl Horner, 86, of Ravenna, Ohio passed away Sunday July 27, 2025 at the Gillette Nursing Home in Warren, Ohio. She was born March 7, 1939 in Exchange, WVA to the late Arthur and Margaret (Singleton) Sponaugle. Living in Ravenna most of her life she had worked at Alloy Welding and Fabricating and was a member of he Ravenna American Legion Unit#331.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Horner on August 25, 1999 and sisters Gay Noland and Ruth Gowdy.  Survivors include her brother William Sponaugle and many nieces and nephews. W. Dale Miller, age 83 of Atwater, passed away August 16, 2025, at his home. He was born January 16, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Ed “EJ” Miller and Isabelle (Brooks) Miller.
