Nelson is building a storage shed for its road equipment

- Wendy DiAlesandro

Nelson Township trustees are in the process of building a 28-by-60-feet storage building near the township garage and the salt barn, Trustee Mike Kortan told The Portager.

The building will house the township’s new oil truck for road work, a gravel spreader for chip and seal work, and a rubber tire roller. The roller device follows the gravel spreader and compacts the aggregate on the roadway. All three pieces of equipment cost the township $10,750, he said.
