Letter to the editor: Lovelight, Inc. will honor organizations heroes at new building

- Letter to the editor

Editor’s note: The Portager publishes letters to the editor from the community. The opinions expressed are published not because they necessarily reflect those of the publication but because we feel they contribute meaningfully to the local discourse on matters of public interest.

In keeping with the cultural practice of “honoring the ancestors” and incorporating them into the whole process of creating an intergenerational child development and lifelong learning center, STARCHILD, the board of the nonprofit, LoveLight, Inc. has decided to honor, at the facility, some very special people who have been affiliated with our organization over the years. These honorees, who represent the best qualities of humanity — love, caring, compassion, and service to others — are E. Timothy Moore, Sherry Thompson, Gloria Robinson Wright, Mary Maske, Robert Justice, Sr., and Maurice Drake.
