The Mantua Center Historic District received consideration by the Ohio Historic Site Preservation Advisory Board for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places, the federal government’s official list of historic properties worthy of preservation. Listing in the National Register provides recognition for, and assists in, preserving the nation’s heritage. National Register listing provides recognition of the property’s historic importance and assures protective review of federal projects that might adversely affect the historic character of the property.
The Advisory Board will meet at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 16 at the Ohio History Connection, Cardinal Classroom, located at 800 East 17th Ave. in Columbus. A virtual attendance option is available to all National Register nomination authors, property owners, elected officials and other interested parties.
