County roundup: Paris firefighters upgrade equipment, plus more news from Paris and rootstown

The Paris Township Fire Department recently received two grants. One was from the EMS for $4,093.50 to purchase a new cot battery and a new EMS bag, and also to update the department’s air equipment (the boards for the department’s C-PAP). The other was from the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council/The Cleveland Foundation for $8,080 to purchase 12 new MARCS pagers.

Paris’ annual “Breakfast with Santa” will be from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Shearer Community Center at 9355 Newton Falls Rd. Breakfast will include pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, orange juice and coffee.
