County roundup: Mogadore Police will initiate a K-9 program, plus news from Suffield

Mogadore Village Council passed legislation to initiate a K-9 program with the police department where one officer will be in charge of a drug-sniffing dog.

“The dog will be properly trained by the agency that does that,” Mayor Mike Rick said. “The police department has tried to use a K-9 a couple times in the past, but it never really got any longevity, so they want to try it again.”
