Hiram Village Council passed legislation for the village administrator to build a structure to be able to sell water. Currently, the village does not sell water.
“We have the problem of too much water in the village, which is unusual,” Mayor Anne Haynam said. “At our water plant, they’ll be essentially setting up a meter system so that water-carrying vehicles can pull up and arrange to fill their tanks, and we don’t have to man it. If someone wants to fill their pool, those water-hauling companies won’t have to drive as far to get the water.”
