Don Jones celebrated his 80th birthday on Sept. 12. A party hosted by his wife Barbara and daughters Christy Kmetko and April Jones was held at his home. The 40 friends and relatives in attendance enjoyed dinner, reminiscing and a toast to Don. Guests of note were Tom and Pam Ward, who graduated from Tallmadge High School with Don. Don and Tom have been friends since first grade.
Don and Barbara were married April 22, 1966, and have been Charlestown residents for 57 years. Don retired from teaching at Crestwood High School in 2004. Along with their daughters, they have one grandson, Alex Kmetko. Don enjoys traveling, camping and collecting antique cars. Happy birthday, Don, and best wishes for many more!
