Aurora’s government, police, local organizations and schools are partnering to pull off a community-wide cleanup from 8 a.m. to noon on May 8. Teams, groups of friends, local organizations, school groups, clubs, church groups and individuals are needed as volunteers. Participants should plan on meeting at the Aurora High School parking lot at 7:30 a.m.

Streetsboro council unanimously scrapped proposed legislation that would regulate garage, yard and household sales in the city. The legislation stated that the sales, and others of a similar nature, “take place in such a manner and time so as to detract from the character of residential areas.”

Kent City School District is exchanging an eight-acre property and the building that once housed Franklin School for a 1.75-acre lot adjacent to Stanton Middle School, currently owned by The Davey Tree Expert Company.
